Centre wants to snatch away religious freedom of Muslims: Maulana Qasmi

Araria: Tahaffuz Shariat Conference was organised by Shariat Welfare Society located at Jokihat block. Chairman society Maulana Lal Mohammed presided over the conference while Qari Niaz Ahmed Qasmi moderated it.

Addressing the gathering as chief guest Maulana Israrul Haq Qasmi said central government is interfering into the shariah on the pretext of triple Talaq, though it has no right to do so. He said if we Muslims follow the shariah, all the other government orders and laws including the said bill will become meaningless.

Maulana Qasmi said central government wants to snatch away religious freedom from Muslims and the bill has been introduced to trouble Muslims. He expressed hope that by Allah’s will the bill will not take the form of Act. He said the religion of Islam is based on Quran. Muslims will never remain silent over changes in Quranic injunctions.

Mufti Mohammed Aleemuddin of Darul Uloom Rahmani Munawwar Nagar said we become the target of others due to our own weaknesses. By not following religious injunctions and Qur’anic guidance, we are being targeted on triple Talaq. We need to be united.

Several scholars addressed on the occasion and hundreds of people attended the conference.
