CEO launches “Naa Vote” to help electors

Hyderabad: To help the voters to exercise their franchise in a hassle free manner in the Assembly polls on Dec7, the Election Commission has come up with a new application called “Naa Vote”. This new application, probably first of its kind, will provide complete information to the voters online – including elector name, EPIC number, polling station, route, nearest bus stop and request for pick up for disabled and others.

Telangana Chief Electoral officer, Rajath Kumar today launched an application to provide complete information to the voters online. Along with Joint CEO Amrapali, Rajat Kumar told media persons at Secretariat later that the voters have in place a hassle-free mechanism for voting any party of their choice.

This can be available on both android and IOS called “Naa Vote” which is designed in such a way to guide the citizens and increase their participation in the electioneering process of voting in the polls. Rajat Kumar said that Naa Vote will sure prove handy and augment the voters of their responsibility to choose the best leaders, name of the candidate, constituency name and symbol.

Referring to huge cash caught from TRS candidate P Narender Reddy at Kodangal segment, action will be taken upon getting reply from the Election Commission.

He said that the app contains the features to allow the voter to search EPIC number with name, search of polling state, voter name, best route to reach polling station, nearest bus stop, request for pick up PwD voter, find the details of the assembly constituency and the candidates who are contesting from the Constituency.

We have also invited the contestants to design the logo to have two words “Naa and Vote” in the script in Telugu, English, Hindi and Urdu. The meaning of the logo must necessarily translate into my vote, the space between the two words is optional he said. The participant whose design gets approved will get cash reward Rs 15,000.

He held the meeting with the CEOs and Directors of IT Industry in Hyderabad and elsewhere and urged their help for increasing voting percentage. The EC has announced Dec 7 a paid holiday. The IT companies will have some alternative arrangement for the polling and ensure participation in polling.

The government made all arrangements for smooth and fair polls and promised better facilities in IT corridor including cc roads, CCTV surveillance, adequate security and will further help them in future expansion he said.

We have declared a public holiday on Dec 7, for government offices and its institutions, including the educational institutions and industries, shops and establishments he said.
