AP Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that the Opposition YSR Congress was trying to attract the Congress leaders into their fold.
Naidu has expressed his ambition to launch operation Akarsh to attract leaders from other parties into the ruling party’s fold.
The TDP chief urged the ministers and party’s districts unit chiefs to get in touch with influential and honest leaders from Congress party and persuade them to join TDP in order to strengthen the ruling party. He said that the party cadre should ensure that the welfare schemes of the TDP government are publicized and ensure that majority of people support the government. He appealed the party men to work in coordination with party leaders at mandal and district levels to strengthen the TDP government. He said that the TDP government was working for the welfare of the masses and the message should reach every household in the district. (INN)
