Chandrababu deceiving people in the name of special category status: Talasani

Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today criticized that Telugu Desm party in Andhra Pradesh has indulged in self goal and false politics.

In an informal chat with media persons at the Assembly here, Srinivas Yadav accused the Chandrababu Government of deceiving people in the name of special category status (SCS). He denied comments as baseless that the TRS MPs are against the SCS and stalling the parliament from taking up no trust vote.

We have our own priorities for quota for STs and Minorities and Tamil Nadu MPs are seeking solution for long pending Kaveri issue he remarked. We did not come in the way of the session in the parliament and our demand is for quota he reiterated. Though the TD and YRCP separately are fighting for SCS it is for the Centre to take a call he opined.

The minister sought to know as to why the TD snapped ties with the BJP at the Centre even before achieving the SCS. The people of the Andhra Pradesh are being fooled by Chandrababu for adopting dual standards on the SCS he charged.

The AP Government should have fought for the special status before snapping the ties with the BJP, he said. The BJP has the strength of 273 MPs for proving majority even if the TD or YCP move no trust vote in Parliament. There might be some impact if all 25 MPs from the AP resign en masse for the SCS he felt. He found fault with Chandrababu for his comments against the YCP MP Vijaya Sai Reddy for meeting with PMO. In the name of special status, the political parties in the AP are trying to confuse and fool the people of the state for mileage, the minister charged. (NSS)
