Chandrababu eulogizes Sarvepalli services, honors 127 best teachers

The Andhra Pradesh government today celebrated Teachers’ Day at A1 Convention centre here on a grand scale. On the occasion, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu paid tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary and felicitated 127 best teachers.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “Dr Sarvepalli made the State proud. He worked in my district also. Dr Radhakrishnan has become immortal by remaining in the hearts of the people,” he said. Describing teaching as a ‘sacred profession’, the Chief Minister exhorted the teachers to do their best and mould students into disciplined and responsible future citizens as teacher is the second guru to children after their parents. Teacher alone has the power of making student into a good citizen in the world.

He appealed to the teachers to upgrade themselves. He also said that teachers have a responsibility of making Andhra Pradesh an educational hub. (NSS)
