China wants to work closely with new Pakistani govt: Chinese Ambassador

Islamabad: Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing described Pakistan and China as “Iron brothers”, said China wants to work closely with the new Pakistani government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi responding to it thanked Ambassador Yao Jing for good wishes and said that Pakistan and China are close friends and strong partners.

On his assumption of office and formation of the new government in Pakistan, he called on Pakistan’s new Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and congratulated him. “The new government is determined to take the strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China to new heights,” Foreign Minister said.

Foreign Minister of Pakistan further said that he looks forward to an in-depth exchange of views with him on all matters of mutual interest.
