Christian missionaries threat to country’s unity: BJP MP

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Bharat Singh on Saturday accused Congress of working on footsteps of Christian missionaries, which according to him are a threat to India’s unity and integrity.

“Christian missionaries control the Congress Party. Sonia Gandhi, the mother of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, works on the directions of these missionaries. These missionaries are a threat to the unity of the country,” Singh said.

The MP of Ballia further said people’s conversion to Christianity in northeastern states has lessened the democracy there. “The North-East is under the influence of Christian missionaries. Democracy in these states has weakened due to people converting to Christianity. The conspiracies laid by these missionaries are the threat for the country,” he added as per a report by Hindustan Times.

He also held Christian missionaries responsible for incidents of statue vandalization of the Dalit icon and Indian Constitution’s architect, Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

The MP dragged the topic of Justice BH Loya case and said “Congress does not believe in democracy. After Loya case ruling by the SC, the party tried to put BJP president Amit Shah in the dock stands exposed.”
