Hyderabad: Special Operation Team of Rachakonda Police arrested three persons who were allegedly making an attempt to circulate fake currency. Additional DCP of Special Operation Team, Mr. Syed Rafeeq told that R. Pandu Ranga Rao (51) with the assistance of Rajula Kolanji (44) was making an attempt to circulate Rs. 2000 fake currency notes in Telangana, AP and Tamil Nadu states.
Police reported that in all, 9 persons are involved in this racket. Fake currency was being exchanged at the rate of 3:1. Police arrested 3 persons and seized 22 bundles of Rs. 2000 currency notes. They were produced in the court and were sent to jail.
