Citizens civic related issues will be solved: Kishore

Hyderabad: Dana Kishore, Commissioner, GHMC, said all citizens’ civic related issues without corruption will be taken care with clear transparency involving citizens for overall development of the city is his main aim, said the Commissioner while interacting with the media persons in the press meet held today in his chambers.

When compared to that of last 4 years a lot of improvement with regard to citizen services has been observed and it will be strengthen further to sort out all the citizens related grievances on priority. When compared to that of other Municipal Corporations in the Country, the Hyderabad city is taking up various developmental activities in a very fast manner, especially with regard to 2BHK Housing, Signal Free Traffic System, SRDP works are being taken up in a phased and fast manner to complete it on the stipulated time.

The Commissioner said he was having a very clear vision of the city for overall development of the city all civic related issues will be sorted out strengthening the existing GHMC app, dial 100, Twitter and other channels of communication along with strengthening the Prajavani program which was being held on every Monday, the Commissioner added. To have a clear transparency, a separate feedback set up wing will be organized soon.

The GHMC has taken up a lot of innovative ideas with regard to dry and wet segregation waste when compared to that of other Municipal Corporations in the Country. At the National status only 25% of the segregation is there but the GHMC has taken up it 50% said the Commissioner. The garbage waste will be recycled and generating electricity will be given top priority for increasing the units.

The existing dumping yards will also be increased, removal of encroachments on nalas will also be taken care in a systematic manner without any difficulties to the effected people duly rehabilitating to them providing better houses utilizing the housing scheme of the Government.

The C&D Waste the GHMC is presently deploying 22 vehicles to transport the construction debris waste now specific instructions have been given to the concerned to enhance 100 vehicles to speed up the process of the lifting in the coming days, awareness will also be given to the citizens with regard to rain harvesting pits involving the citizens to take up in their colonies and households.

With regard to road repairing works special focus is being taken up by enhancing the existing B.T mixing units to another 2 altogether 4 to take up the road repairing works in a speed manner. The GHMC is having experience engineering officials and also young and dynamic IAS officers with the help of them the Commissioner said overall development of the city will be taken up taking the suggestions from Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Corporators in the coming days.

The Commissioner thanked Dr B. Janardhan Reddy, who has taken lot of pains for getting good name in the State and National level and the schemes which have been introduced by him will be strengthen more in the near future. He also praised about the project of replacement of LED lights where 4 lakhs and odd street lights have been taken up which is a very good record in the country and as well as international standards.
