Cloudy Thursday morning in Delhi

New Delhi: It was a cloudy Thursday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 26.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average, the weather office said.

“It would be generally cloudy sky throughout the day. Moderate rain is likely to occur at different time at different parts of the city,” an official of the India Meteorological Department told IANS.

According to the weather office, Delhi has now achieved surplus monsoon of 12 per cent as recorded from June 1 to July 28 morning.

“About 239 mm of rainfall is considered to be normal while Delhi on Wednesday morning received 280 mm rainfall,” the official said.

The humidity level at 8.30 a.m. was 94 per cent. The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 31 degrees Celsius, the weather office said. Teh visibility in the morning was 2000 meters.

The maximum temperature on Wednesday settled at 30.8 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season’s average while the minimum temperature of the day was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average.
