CM lays stone for Rs 3,900-cr Kakatiya Textile Park; 50000 to get jobs

Laying foundation for Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal Rural Area, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said it will become the biggest industry in the country to manufacture all sorts of clothes and apparels. The new textile park will surpass the noted Azam Jahi Mills in production and providing employment to workers.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation for IT Incubation Centre at Madikonda, Road Over Bridge at Kazipet and Outer Ring Road on the occasion. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari led a team to Surat in Gujarat, Tirupur of Tamil Nadu, Sholapur in Maharashtra and other places to study on varieties of manufacturing apparels and all that will be produced in Warangal now. Production of thread, clothes and readymade apparels will be produced to cater to the needs of the country and abroad,  he said.

Reading out 22 names of the industries and companies which came forward to set up business at the Mega Textile Park, KCR said Rs 3,900-cr investments came from them to start business. He hoped that the Textile Park planned to manufacture wide ranging clothes and apparels and will give 27000 jobs directly and employment to 50000 people indirectly. Indeed, the new textile park will be first of its kind in the country, he noted. Warangal Textile Park has cotton domestic market, moving products and will produce clothes of all types to cater to the needs of 700 crore population in the world, the Chief Minister said and expressed happiness on signing deals with 22 companies.

The Chief Minister appreciated Industry Minister KT Rama Rao and officials concerned for a miracle achieving through TSiPASS fetching 5017 industries, speedy industrial expansion and getting investments by implementing hassle-free industrial policy. Single window system in other States was with grills and in Telangana Single Window has no grills giving all permissions, through online in 15 days without the problem of moving around offices. This policy got 1.07 lakh crore investments so far in Telangana in three years and accolades to KTR and officials, he said.

“I have no doubt all the apparels, hosieries, blankets, saris and other types will be produced here and boost the State economic development. We have promised to launch Apparel Park during statehood movement and now it is becoming a reality,” he said. He greeted the people of old Warangal for the mega textile park.
