CM takes a dig at PM calls him ‘Chowkidar’ of criminals

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi by calling him a ‘chowkidar’ to criminals and not people.

Addressing reporters in Vijayawada, Naidu blamed PM for not allowing enforcement directorate (ED) and CBI to act on cases filed against YSRC chief Jaganmohan Reddy and asked why PM has turned his office into a den for criminals and the corrupt, TOI reports.

he also quoted a letter sent by ED director Karnal Singh to CBI director Alok Kumar Verma on May 31, 2017, asking Verma for action against Jaganmohan Reddy under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 for irregularities committed by Jagan in collaboration with industrialist L Syam Prasad Reddy.

He claimed that the ED director had stated that both Jaganmohan and Syam Prasad Reddy had influenced APIIC in getting favours of transfer of 11.10 acres of land in Kukatpally, Hyderabad.

He asked PM to why did not he permit the ED and CBI to take action against Jaganmohan.

He also questioned CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for not uttering a word when Jagan had grabbed 11.10 acres of land in Kukatpally.

“When prime land in Kukatpally was grabbed by Jaganmohan and was identified by both ED and CBI, why is KCR silent? Is he also supporting the criminal?” Naidu asked.

“The chowkidar is saving the criminals. KCR is silent on the crime. These two leaders are supporting criminals to win the election in Andhra Pradesh, only to prevent the development of the state,” Naidu claimed.

It’s the high time people realize and exercise their power for the state’s development and safety of their future he said.

“A vote for Jaganmohan is a vote for our death note,” Naidu said.
He added: “If you vote for me, I will work for the state all through. If you vote for Jagan, he will work to get out of the criminal cases against him. So, the choice is yours.”
