CM’s maiden visit Medaram on Feb 2

Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao will make a maiden and official visit to the noted tribal festival of Medarama Jathara in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district on February 2. According to information tour of the chief minister is confirmed and will make it to biennial Tribal festival of Sammakka and Sarakka congregation. Telangana Government conducted the same Jathara two years ago in 2016 on a grand note. Although the chief minister did not attend the festivities of Medaram Jathara that time, he is keen to make a visit to the tribal festival. As about one crore people from several districts are to join the gigantic event the government has made elaborate arrangements. Already, Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari visited the Jathara site on Sunday and inspected the facilities.

It may be said here that KCR as the boss of the TRS had visited the Medarama Jathara along with his wife Shobha in 2012 and offered prayers for statehood. After achieving the statehood for Telangana in 2014 the chief minister could not make it to Medaram Jathara for some reasons. However, this time is crucial that the chief minister is making efforts for developing the state in all spheres by a budget-2018 with better allocations for agriculture, irrigation and other key sectors. KCR is to seek blessings of presiding deities of Sammakka and Sarakka at the Medarama Jathara site this time for winning the next general elections either in 2018 or 2019.
