Hyderabad: Unani doctors and intellectuals of the city paid rich tribute to the services rendered by late Hakeem Syed Ghousuddin for his untiring efforts in the promotion of Unani system of medicine.
Siasat Urdu Daily in collaboration with All India Unani Tibbi Conference and Unani Medical Association organized a condolence meeting at Golden Jubilee Hall of Siasat Urdu Daily on Sunday 4th November.
Condolence meeting was presided over by Hakeem Yedulah. In his presidential speech, he appealed to the Unani practitioners to complete the task left unfulfilled by Hakeem Ghousuddin.
Hakeem Meer Yousuf Ali, former Dy. Director of AYUSH, Mr. Abid Siddiqui, Thakur Hridaynath Singh, Mr. Faiz Mohammed Asghar, Mr. Syed Nizamuddin (Chicago), Hakeem Ghulam Mohiuddin and others addressed the gathering.
Both the sons of Hakeem Ghousuddin and other members of his family attended the meeting.
Mr. Abid Siddiqui told that Hakeem Ghousuddin had devoted all his energies for the promotion of Unani System of Medicine. He was nominated as the first advisor of Unani medicine by the Govt. of AP. He was a good organizer of functions.
Hakeem Rafi Haider Shakeb told that Hakeem Ghousuddin organized entrance tests for BUMS and MD (Unani).
Hakeem Abdul Hasan Ashraf, Organizing Secretary of All India Tibbi Conference told that Hakeem Syed Ghousuddin inculcated the passion for service to the poor among the young doctors. He also told that recognizing his efforts, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily extended their full cooperation to him.
