Congress and TD leaders from Kalwakurty segment today joined the ruling party at Telangana Bhavan here. Minister KT Rama Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao and C Lakshma Reddy welcomed about 1800 leaders and activists of the two parties into the TRS fold. The ministers offered traditional pink shawls to them on the occasion. Krishna Rao claimed that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is for the cause of the farmers and will give Rs 4000 per acre from next year. He also said that in the country no prime minister or any chief minister got such an idea to help farmers in distress. Lakshma Reddy said that agriculture will now becoming a festival which was incurring losses so far. KTR said that the TRS Government will spend funds for the welfare of the farmers. (NSS)
