Cong won’t retain even Main Oppn status: Harish

Irrigation & Marketing Minister T Harish Rao today ridiculed that the public will not support the Congress for its Bus Yatra or “Knee Yatra’’ in future as they are trying to blame the government. “The TRS will retain power and the Congress will bite the dust and will not even get its existing seats to get the status of Leader of the Opposition”, he said.

The Bus Yatra has no takers and the leaders are vying for getting image in vain. The congress knows that it will not win the elections or not even retain its opposition status in the Assembly in the next elections he said. Despite that the Congress is making yatras for political gain though there is no public response. The people are unhappy with it for stalling growth he said.

Speaking to media persons at TRS Legislature Party office here along with Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav and others Harish said that the so called Bus Yatra taken up by the congress has failed to get public response. The congress leaders are vying for making vicious campaign against the government he fumed. The previous government failed in irrigation and agriculture sector as it lacked vision and efficiency, he charged. Though the TRS in just three and half years has turned the pending projects of the congress into running projects and completing them on time he said. While the TRS is giving 24 hours power to farm sector the congress which failed to give just 7 hours power is now making mockery of democracy he said.

Harish suggested the congress to stop mud-slinging for political gain and the people are not ready to believe in them. The congress failed to give quality education and hostels faced problems. He said that the TRS government giving priority for quality education with better facilities and supplying fine rice to the hostel students. (NSS)
