New Delhi: Welcoming Minimum Income Guarantee (MIG) scheme for the poor announced by Rahul Gandhi, former Congress MP M Afzal said once again Congress president has proved that the poor and marginalised sections can be safe only in Congress rule. Only Congress can take effective measures to improve their standard of living. Looking at whatever was done during the 5-year rule of NDA, a majority of the people are forced to think that only Congress is their real sympathizer whose priority is to benefit of poor.
Mr Afzal added that with its work done so far, Congress has proved that it is the real sympathizer of weaker and marginalised sections. He cited the examples of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan where Congress waived the loans of farmers soon after coming to power.
Mr Afzal claimed that the latest announcement of Mr Rahul Gandhi has stunned BJP.
It must be noted that Congress president Rahul Gandhi has promised a Minimum Income Guarantee (MIG) scheme for the poor if the party comes to power in 2019.
