Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao today denied as baseless the allegations made by the opposition congress that they have received a CBI notice. The Congress is trying to malign our image by creating false CBI notices and comparing me with fraudster Nirav Modi, he fumed.
Addressing a press conference at T|RS Legislature Party office here, he slammed the Congress for trying to malign the image of him and his sons who are making business. There is no truth in the charges levelled by the Congress that my sons are making business through illegal means and cheating the banks, he said. It is not wrong to take loans to run business or industry, he said.
The minister said that the loans obtained by his family members will be repaid with interest as per norms. Krishna Rao further said that his children are independent and doing their own business. My family members are involved in a business as per legal norms by obtaining Rs 6 cr form Prudential Bank and repaying the loan amount by paying interest without any fail he said. Rao also alleged that the congress is making charges for political gain and targeting his family members through misinformation campaign. Though I quit minister post for Telangana statehood the congress leaders did not do so he said. Rao ridiculed the congress comments of sand mafia who are noted for corruption.(NSS)
