Congress fears electoral burial, cook up charges to hoodwink people: KTR

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration & Textiles Minister K T Rama Rao today excoriated the frustrated Congress leaders for their unrelenting rhetoric against the TRS government.

Addressing a public meeting at Sircilla Rajanna district today along with Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy after launching a new ITI building, KTR said the Congress had miserably failed to develop the region in then combined State and now resorting to mud-slinging and vilification campaigning. The Opposition leaders were indulging in making false allegations of corruption and irregularities, he said. The TRS government was according top priority to complete the irrigation projects on a war-footing, which were totally neglected by the previous Congress regime for about six decades, he charged.

The Textiles Minister said the Congress was afraid of bleak future as the TRS dispensation was able to keep all the promises and implement welfare schemes reaching the poor and needy in the new State. Timely completion of the projects will turn the lands into green and the State will reap in a golden harvest with good rains and flagship program like Mission Kakatiya that revived lakes and water bodies in rural pockets helping increase in agricultural production.

Having addressed the power crisis efficiently,Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was ready to offer potable waters to all the villages so far deprived of that facility through Mission Bhagiratha, he claimed. He also said KCR was doing a Bhagiratha effort to complete the projects like Kaleshwaram, Palamur-Ranga Reddy and others. Unable to stomach State’s development and welfare programs, the Opposition fearing total rout in the next elections, he charged. He also observed that the gloomy Congress, with no other go, was resorting to carry out misinformation campaign against the ruling party.

KTR also ridiculed the Congress for making impossible promises and issuing meaningless statements of no use. The TRS will get the mandate of the people and will be in power for next 15 years, he said. “People would see the development and welfare programs and would vote for the ruling party”, KTR added.
