Congress-JDS govt will run on common minimum program for next five years: AICC

AICC secretary and Karnataka State Congress affairs assistant in-charge Madhu Yashki Goud has said the Congress-JDS government will run in Karnataka State on the basis of Common Minimum Program.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, Madhu Yashki Goud said the Congress party offered Chief Minister post to JDS chief HD Kumaraswamy and clarified that the Congress would never demand Chief Minister post in the next five years. Cabinet posts will be distributed among the Congress and JDS parties on proportionately.

Yashki said a Coordination Committee would be formed to run the Congress-JDS government smoothly. He exuded confidence that they will provide stable government, which will last for five years. The Congress had sacrifice CM’s post in order to face the BJP across the nation, he said, adding that the Congress’ aim was to obstruct the BJP. On the other hand, Kumaraswamy arrived in Delhi today to meet AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to discuss with them on composition of Cabinet posts. (NSS)
