Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has described the developments in Karnataka on Saturday as the great victory of democracy.
“I salute the MLAs of Congress and JD (S) for saving democracy. They did not get lured by sops offered by BJP nor did they feel intimidated. Although they got elected as MLAs only four days ago, the Congress and JD (S) legislators have proved that the people of Karnataka have made the right choice. They had already defeated BJP in the electoral battle and by reducing Yedurappa to ‘ek din ka sultan’, they defeated the false aspirations and ambitions of PM Modi and Amit Shah to grab power at all costs,” Uttam Kumar Reddy said in a media statement today.
Uttam said that nothing could stop Rahul Gandhi from becoming Prime Minister now, as the whole country has witnessed that Rahul Gandhi has the strength and conviction to defeat the designs of Amit Shah- PM Modi combine. The developments in Karnataka will certainly help strengthening of Congress party in Telangana. This is the beginning of Congress victory in 2019 elections, he said. (NSS)
