Congress leaders call on Jamat-e-Islami leaders

Hyderabad: Mr. M.N. Baig Zahid, General Secretary of Jamat-e-Islami, Telangana informed that Congress leaders met the office bearers of Jamat-e-Islami, Telangana at its office on 3rd October.

Congress leaders promised to accept most of the demands presented by Jamat-e-Islami and requested it to extend its support for Congress in the next elections.

Ameer of Jamat-e-Islami, Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan explained that the organization is meeting with the leaders of various political parties. After careful consideration and discussions with District and State level members, a report would be prepared which will be sent to Central Office of Jamat-e-Islami. After its approval, a decision would be taken to support a particular party keeping in view all the welfare aspects.

Maulana Hamid Mohammed Khan also informed that the leaders of Jamat-e-Islami had met Mr. KCR earlier.

Present in the meeting were State Congress President, Capt. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, former Chairman of Minorities Commission and others.
