Congress loss in Adilabad: Backstabbing and double deals

Adilabad: Some Congress senior leaders are facing allegations of back-stabbing their own party candidates resulting in the defeat of Congress candidates in old Adilabad.

The news making the rounds in the Congress circles is that a senior Congress leader from Nirmal district tried a ticket for his supporter Anil Jadhav.

He is now facing allegations of back-stabbing their own party chosen candidate, Mr Soyam Bapurao.

Mr Jadhav contested as an independent when the party denied him a ticket from Boath.

During a press conference held in Adilabad, it was revealed that a Congress leader holding a top position in the party in the old Adilabad district, funded Mr Anil Jadhav against party candidate Mr Bapurao.

The same leader failed to convince his supporter to withdraw his nomination as an independent in the interest of the party.

The said that leader also did nothing to stop the party leader from joining the TRS a few days after the announcement of the candidates for Mancherial.

There are strong allegations that some Congress leaders had colluded with TRS and BJP candidates and worked against candidate Gandrath Sujatha who had contested from Adilabad.
