Congress releases new list, Uttam Shocked

Hyderabad: The third list of candidates released by congress Party high command has even shocked the top leaders of the party including TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP Leader K. Jana Reddy.
The first shocker that was given by the party high command is the denial of the ticket to its veteran leader and the son of a former chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh State, Marri Shashidhar Reddy. Despite making the best possible efforts to secure the seat, Reddy could not get the ticket to contest from his Sanathnagar assembly segment.

The third list also did not consist of the name of K. Raghuveer Reddy, who is the son of CLP leader K. Jana Reddy, from Miryalaguda Assembly seat. The CLP leader has been lobbying with the high command leaders to secure the party ticket for his son to contest from Miryalaguda Assembly segment for a long time. However, the party high command appears to have opted to keep the suspense over the seat by not declaring the party candidate from the seat. This has repeatedly shocked Jana Reddy as he was confident of securing the ticket for his son.

The third shocker reportedly given to the TPCC president by the party high command was the allocation of Thungathuri assembly segment. The high command has decided to field former Osmania University leader and party’s spokesperson Addanki Dayakar, despite the strong opposition by the TPCC president. According to the party sources, TPCC president has lobbied strongly with the party high command to secure the ticket to one of his followers instead of Dayakar, but in vain. The congress president Rahul Gandhi held a one to one session with Dayakar on Friday and found out the factors that could help him win from the seat. The meeting with the party president seems to have worked in favour of Dayakar and prompted the party leadership to declare his candidature from the seat. It may be noted here that Dayakar had lost the last assembly elections from the same seat.

Out of the 19 pending seats, the party leadership has declared the names of 13 candidates on Saturday morning. The suspense over the remaining 6 assembly seats is still going on in the party.
