Hyderabad: Accusing the TRS party of playing “double games:, Congress senior leader V Hanumanth Rao on July 27 said the TRS MPs’ boycott no-trust motion voting in Parliament amounted to support special category status to Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Hanumanth Rao warned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who was extending support to the BJP, that the Congress would see the end of his rule. He alleged that the BJP-led NDA government had indulged in Rs 40,000-crore scam in Rafel purchase deal. He reminded that the BJP had dubbed the Bofors purchase deal as a Rs 60 crore scam
The Congress leader said the BJP should not forget that the Court had given a clean chit to the Congress after demise of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Flaying Defence Minister’s statement that France had asked India not to reveal the details of the Rafel warplanes purchase deal, VH said the government can reveal the price of Rafel warplanes keeping technical details secret.
Asking the NDA government as to why it could allot the contact to “inexperienced” Anil Ambani’s company, VH alleged the Rafel warplanes purchase was a huge scam in the NDA government. “Every Congress activist would explain to the people about BJP’s Rafel warplanes scam.
On the occasion, VH felicitated the newly appointed NSUI Hyderabad City president Abhijith Yadav. VH assured Abhijit that he will extend full cooperation to him any time. (NSS)
