Congress will order probe into corrupt practices of KCR

Hyderabad: AICC spokesperson S Jaipal Reddy today said the Congress party would order inquiry into the “corrupt” practices of the TRS government immediately after returning to power. He also alleged that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been diverting the State funds to Andhra contractors like Mega Krishna Reddy. He also slammed KCR for claiming that 30 percent more funds were being spent on the projects.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday, Jaipal Reddy alleged that not even an acre of land received water with the contract works of Krishna Reddy. He demanded that KCR prove his allegations wrong against Krishna Reddy. He further said KCR allocated Rs 43,436 crore worth contracts to Krishna Reddy company for irrigation projects, Rs 14,000 crore for Koya Company and Rs 60,436 crores to another company. No government in the country allocated so many works to a single contract company, he pointed out.

The former Union minister said the KCR government has allocated Rs 17,000 crore worth works to Navayuga company. Everything was going on under the guidance of KCR, he alleged. He said he was ready to prove how much commission was given to KCR by those companies. He also said not a single project was completed in the last four years. He alleged that Krishna Reddy was KCR’s agent. He also accused KCR of showing the expenditure on Kaleswaram project three times more.
