Conspiracy to close down Urdu service of Akaash Vani

New Delhi: A planned conspiracy is being hatched against “Akaash Vani Urdu Service (ESD) which is broadcast 24/7. Though some action has also been taken in other departments and some casual employees have terminated but major action has been taken against employees working in Urdu service. Out of 36 casual workers, 28 have been dismissed without citing any reason. Surprisingly those include a few who were serving for the past 22 years. It must be noted that casual workers get Rs. Rs. 300 for each duty and each employee is allotted a maximum of 6 duties in a month.

Reportedly a written test was conducted on July 23 and the audition was held on July 27. Instead of inviting the already serving employees, new candidates were also called for the audition. After the results it was found that out of 36 old employees only 8 were selected and the remaining were terminated while 5 new candidates were selected.

It seems that the authorities are deliberately trying to harm Akaash Vani Urdu service and injustice is meted out towards those who are servicing in it.
