Lucknow: After the controversy, Bareilly District Magistrate, Mr. Raghvendra Vikram Singh deleted the post which he wrote on Facebook earlier.
In the post, he questioned the trend of raising anti-Pak slogans by entering into Muslim localities. he wrote, “It has become a strange tradition to take out processions, enter into Muslim localities and raise anti-Pakistani slogan”. He questioned that are the residents of these localities are Pakistanis?
In another post on Facebook, Mr. Singh asked despite China being our bigger enemy, why anti-China slogans were never raised.
According to the news published in NDTV, last year, Mr. Singh was posted as District Magistrate of Bareilly. He earlier served as a short service commission army officer.
It may be mentioned that he wrote this on Facebook two days after the communal clashes in Kasganj.
Earlier, Governor of the State, Mr. Ram Naik termed the Kasganj violence as a “blot” for the state.
During the violence in Kasganj, one person, Chandan Gupta was killed and two other, Naushad, a labourer and Mohd Akram were injured.
It is not yet clear that what has triggered the violence in Kasganj.
Reports claim that slogans were raised before the violence and there was no police permission for the bike rally.
It is also reported that talking to newsmen Mr. Singh told that his point was that permission should be taken for certain things.
