Country will witness a ‘revolution’ in next Lok Sabha elections: Mamata

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee said that Lok Sabha election of 2019 will be the witness to a political revolution in the country and people will oust Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from power. She said the general public is neglected while the leaders are becoming egoistic and arrogant. Their arrogance has reached its zenith, she said. The government has hit the pocket of the common people.

Mamata was speaking to newsmen in Frankfurt on Monday. “No to BJP and Yes to the country” is the need of the hour, she said.

On the question of who will be the Prime Minister in 2019, Mamata Banerjee said, “We will have to vote them out first and then the Prime Minister will be decided.” Banerjee had been highlighting the failure of the anti-people BJP government in meetings, rallies, and street corners and in these gatherings her slogan has been “Oust BJP from the Centre.”
