Shivpuri: A couple in Madhya Pradesh’s Sarwani village of Shivpuri district was forced to eat human excreta by the villagers on suspicion of practicing black magic.
The accused allegedly dragged the couple out of their home and thrashed the man after tying him to a tree.
When his wife objected to the thrashing, the villagers forced the couple to eat human feces.
According to the sources, the villagers alleged the couple identified as Prem Singh and his wife Ramawati practiced black magic which had led to the death of neighbour Aarti.
Arti’s father-in-law Angad Singh accused the couple of killing her using black magic thus led to the thrashing of the couple. It was only after the elderly villagers intervened, the couple’s lives were saved.
Prem Singh later filed a complaint against Angad Singh and his two sons, Meghnath and Malkhan on Sunday said Police station in-charge Ramendra Singh.
However, the victims told the police that their neighbour Aarti had been unwell for the last three months and died on Saturday.
The Police has arrested the accused.
