CPI backs TU general strike: Chada

Hyderabad: Telangana CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy today extended support to the General Strike by trade unions on January 8 and 9.

In a statement here today, Venkat Reddy said the CPI will offer total support to the national strike against the BJP-led NDA Government. The strike to be attended by laborers, farmers and coolies across the nation will mount pressure on Narendra Modi Government. The strike will push ahead a slogan of Modi Hatao –Desh Ko Bachavo” and mount pressure on the NDA Government.

Chada also alleged that the Modi Government was not responding to the previous strikes and turning a blind eye on the protests of the working class across the country. The Centre was trying to suppress the rights of the laborers and workers in the country achieved through struggles. The strike is first of its kind in the world and will be an eye-opener for the Modi Government, he said.
