CPI general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy has alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi government was increasing prices of petrol and diesel even as prices of crude oil at international level were decreasing. He slammed the Modi government alleging that it was giving subsidies to corporate companies while imposing cuts to important welfare sector. The Modi government was harassing the people by imposing new taxes through GST, he claimed.

Speaking to the media at Maqdhoom Bhavan here on Thursday along with CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, Suravaram said communal forces were resorting to attacks on SC, ST and minorities. He said they will organize meetings and conferences across the nation from August 1 to 14 to create awareness among the people against Modi’s four year rule. He said they will observe June 20 as ‘fight against high prices’ day across the nation opposing the increasing prices of essential goods.

Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that the job recruitment process was going on at snail pace in the State. He demanded that the State government increase the upper age limit by five more years as many job aspirants lost their chance due to delay in releasing job notification. (NSS)
