CPI urges CM to convene all-parties’ meet on reorganization of revenue divisions, mandals

Hyderabad: State CPI secretary Chada Venkata Reddy today urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to convene an all-parties meeting to discuss and divide district, revenue and mandals in a scientific manner.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister today, the State CPI secretary reminded that they had written a letter to the State government stating that the reorganization of 10 districts into 31 two years ago was unscientific and irrelevant. He also pointed out that the people were demanding creation of Huzurabad and Devarakonda districts.

The CPI leader said reorganization of new revenue divisions and mandals at the will of the ruling party would send wrong signals to the people. Therefore, the State government was bound to convene an all-parties meeting to discuss the issue threadbare and take transparent decisions.
