CPI urges CM to curb drug mafia with iron hand

The CPI today demanded that the State government initiate stern action against the drug mafia whose activities in the capital city reached to peak stage by attracting even the school students. He also demanded that the State government order thorough inquiry into the drug mafia activities.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy expressed concern over the developments that not only rich class and corporate school students but also middle class students were falling in the clutches of drug culture. He asked the Chief Minister to conduct a high level review meeting and punish the culprits whoever they may be. Suggesting to the school managements to behave responsibly, Chada asked the State government to create awareness among parents and the civil society. He reiterated his demand that the government initiate firm steps to curb the activities of international drug mafia in Hyderabad. (NSS)
