Crime against women in Hyderabad: Three youths held for spanking women on road

Hyderabad: Despite making stringent laws, movements like #MeToo and many government initiatives to make society safer for females, crimes against women are taking placing. In one such incident, three youths spanked women on roads.

According to the report published in DC, Madhapur Police apprehended three students who reportedly committed this crime. They used rental bikes to commit this crime.

As per the details, three youths who were on two-wheeler had hit a 23-year-old woman on her waist and fled away. She was standing on the main road at Ayyappa Society when this incident took place.

The woman approached the police and lodged a complaint.

After conducting investigation, police took three youths into custody. Later, it was found that they have committed similar offence earlier too. However, their crime comes to light for the first time.

It may be mentioned that similar incidents took place at Rajendranagar area and behind Raheja Mind Space IT Park in the month of August.
