Married daughter stole gold from parent’s house

(Siasat News): Narayanguda police has arrested a woman for stealing gold from the house of her parents.

As per the details, the accused Shaukat-un-nisa Munawar, 28 daughter of Afzal and Mahboob Bi and resident of Himayath Nagar Street No. 13 has married a Hindu Satyanarayana.

However, some days back she returned from the house of her husband pretending in front of her parents that she had quarreled with her husband. She had changed her name from Shaukat-un-nisa to Revathi.

After gaining the confidence of her parents, she had stolen 67 tolas gold ornaments and 40 tolas silver. When her parents found the jewellery missing, they had immediately lodged a complaint in Narayanguda police station.

Police has registered the case and in the meantime, kept hawk’s eye on Ravathi’s movements. Police alertness proved fruitful as she was caught red-handed while trying to sell the stolen jewellery in a jewellery shop at RTC X roads.

Her parents were shocked to learn this. Further investigations are underway.

Cricket betting racket unearthed

(Siasat News): Police has claimed that by arresting six persons, a cricket betting racket was unearthed. The betting was on for a league match being played in Australia.

Commissioners Task Force (west zone) arrested bookies Mukesh Sharma, Mohd. Azhar and Prashant Sharma were arrested while they were booking bids on their cellphones for the matches being played between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunder.

Police also arrested three punters Asifullah Khan, Hemant Mishra and Mahesh Taleji Rao. Police also recovered a TV, three hot line boxes, 18 cell phones and Rs. 20,000 cash.

Later they were handed over to Bahadurpura police for further interrogation.
