Chief Secretary SP Singh today directed the officials concerned to take steps immediately to fill SC and ST backlog posts under direct recruitment in various departments. “The number of vacancies should be notified to the TSPSC for taking up necessary steps to fill the posts”, he said.
Singh conducted a high-level review meeting at Secretariat and asked the officials to get ready with all information and data to be given to the members in the Assembly and Council during the sessions beginning October 27. Singh also asked them to prepare action plans and details of the posts filled till June 2, 2014 and present vacant posts and the date for filling these posts has been extended till June 30 next year. The CS asked the officials to provide information of the rest of the departments as the officials sent data of only 69 departments out of 178 departments.
The Chief Secretary discussed about Assembly and Council sessions and on the backlog posts under SC and ST categories. “The officials should be ready with needed information and data pertaining to queries in the Assembly session. The information sought by the members be given immediately and separate notes be prepared”, he said and added that there shall not be any pendency with regard to giving information in the Assembly and Council sessions.
