Meerut: In yet another incident of crime against women, a 17-year-old Dalit girl gang-raped by four youths. The family came to know about the heinous crime after video of the act went viral.
According to the report published in TOI, victim belongs to a village in Shikarpur area, Bulandshahr. Four accused are also from the same village.
After the incident came to limelight, the 17-year-old girl, a student of the 10th class said that the alleged culprits threatened her to keep quiet about the heinous crime. She also told that they recorded the act.
The victim’s mother approached the police station on Saturday after she came to know about the video.
Shikarpur Police registered a case under section 376(D) of the IPC, SC/ST Act, POCSO Act and IT Act.
Talking about the case, SP (Rural Areas), Mr. Praveen Kumar Tiwari told that all the four accused, Robin Kumar, Gaurav Kumar, Lokesh and Gaurav are arrested.
It may be mentioned that earlier, a teenage girl from Chandpur village was abducted and gang-raped. Later, her body was found in a canal in Greater Noida.
The three accused of the case confessed the crime and said that their intention behind the crime was to have fun with the girl, TOI reported.
