Bhopal: In a surprising incident, a Dalit woman Sarpanch was not allowed to unfurl national flag. This incident occurred in a village which comes under Shahnagar Police station.

According to the report of “National Dastak”, Ms. Anita Bai also faced insulted and verbal abuse.

Talking to media person, Ms. Anita told that she was stopped from hoisting national flag. She was told, “You cannot hoist flag here as you belong to lower caste”. Abusive language was also used against her, she added. After the incident, she filed a complaint in the police station.

It may be mentioned that during the protest against “Padmavat”, it was claimed that the film affects the dignity of women. This incident exposes the dual stand of the society.
