New Delhi: Hatred is created against Dalits and Muslims in Uttar Pradesh. They are assaulted and killed. Innocents are killed in an encounter. Recently a Dalit was beaten to death in Allahabad. After Kasganj violence a particular community is being targeted and arrested. A delegation made representation to central SC/ ST Commission. Besides that Janata Dal-United (Sharad Yadav) leaders held a press conference and revealed the oppression of Dalits and Muslims.
The memorandum submitted to Central SC/ST Commission stated that on February 9, a Dalit youth Dilip Kumar Saroj had a dispute with railway PT Vijay Shankar Singh on some issue. The Thakur community beat Dalit Saroj to death. He died on February 10.
The team leader Ajay Saroj informed that the present government considers Dalits and Muslims as its enemies. The delegation demanded that the Commission constitute fast-track court to hear those cases and give compensation of Rs. 50 lakhs to the victims. They also urged the government to arrest perpetrators who are roaming scot-free.
