Deadliest attack in Kashmir: Muslim scholars break silence

Shock, grief and outrage have engulfed the country after the deadly terror attack in Pulwama that led to the death of 40 CRPF personnel.

Commenting upon the incident, General Secretary Jamiat Ulama Rajasthan Maulana Abdul Wahid Khatri in a statement said the Jamiat strongly condemns the attack on CRPF in Pulwama. He added Jamiat Ulama’s stand is very clear that the attack is un-Islamic, inhuman and cowardly act. This inhuman act is not ‘Jihad’ but ‘fasad’. The perpetrators of the act are anti-nationals and anti-human, he said.

Imam of Shia Jama Masjid in Noida sector 50 Maulana Ali Naqvi also condemned the attack and said Islam is the religion of peace and love. Islam forbids suicide then how can suicide attack be legal in Islam. He said Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) asked Muslims to love their country. Attackers should not be called Muslims but terrorists because terrorism has no religion, he said.

General Secretary Noor Watan Education Welfare Trust Mohammed Omar Hayat, Mufti Intekhab Aalam Nadwi, secretary Tahreek Awam Hind Maulana Mushtaq Zameer Ahmed Nomani, national spokesman of All India Tahreek Awam-e-Hind Maulana Aqil Siraj Miftahi and several other Muslim scholars strongly condemned the attack and expressed their solidarity towards the CRPF Jawans.
