Death toll rises to five in Kabul blast

Kabul[Afghanistan]: The death toll from Friday’s explosion that occurred at the seventh street of Qala-e-Fathullah area in Kabul”>Kabul has risen to five.

Afghan Ministry of Interior Spokesman Najib Danish said that five people have died and 20 others injured, while confirming the arrest of one suspect, the Tolo News reported.

The injured were taken to a state-owned hospital in the city.

Many casualties are feared. The eyewitnesses said that the attacker apparently had sheep and wanted to take them close to a mosque in the area.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. More details are awaited.

A day ago about 30 rockets were fired at Hamid Karzai International airport in Kabul”>Kabul and both Taliban and ISIS claimed to take the responsibility for the attack. Taliban said that their target was visiting U.S. Defence Secretary James Mattis.
