Delhi: Bandmaster shot dead by drummer

Ghaziabad: A bandmaster has been shot dead by a drummer for not sharing the tip amount received from the guests in a wedding party in Vasundhra colony here, police said today.
Last night, a band party had come from Nandnagri in Delhi to perform at the marriage party.

The deceased has been identified as Abrar, who was shot thrice by the accused drummer Sajid, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rakesh Mishra.

Abrar’s brother Iqrar said that when he was counting the tip amount with him, the four drummers Deepak, Gulfam, Sazid and Neeraj reached there and asked them to divide the amount equally.
They then have heated argument and while Neeraj and Gulfam took Abrar in their grip and Sajid fired three times at Abrar, police said.

Abrar was taken to Mohannagar hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, police said.

Deepak and Gulfam have been arrested while Sazid and Neeraj are still at large, police said, adding Sajid is the history-sheeter of Nandnagri police station.
