Delhi CM Arvind’s second apology letter adressed to Union Minsiter Gadkari

New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tenders his apology to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari after apologizing to Shiromani AKali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majitha.

Expressing his regret over ‘unverified allegations’ against Gadkari, Arvind urged him to forget the incident and close the court proceedings. In his apology letter, Arvind said, “I have nothing personal against you. I regret the same. Let us put the incident behind us & bring the court proceedings to a closure,”

Meanwhile Delhi CM Kejriwal and Union minister Nitin Gadkari, both have filed a joint application seeking withdrawal of defamation case on Monday from Delhi’s Patiala House Court. on Monday.

Earlier last week, Kejriwal had apologised to Majithia for making statements against him regarding narcotics being circulated in the state. In his written apology, Kejriwal had said-

“In the recent past, I made certain statements and allegations against you regarding your alleged involvement in the drug trade. These statements became a political issue. Now, I’ve learnt that the allegations are unfounded. Hence, there should be no politics on such issues.”

“I’m resigning as a president of AAP Punjab… But my fight against drug mafia and all kind of corruption in Punjab will continue as an ‘Aam Aadmi’ (common man) of Punjab,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, Opposition leader Sukhbal Singh Khaira took to Twitter to say, “We’re appalled n stunned by the apology of @ArvindKejriwal tendered today, we don’t hesitate to admit that we haven’t been consulted on this meek surrender by a leader of his stature (sic).”
