Delhi: Communal elements try to disrupt peace at Seelampur

New Delhi: Goons of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad tried to disrupt peace at street no 8 of Berhampur in Seelampur assembly constituency by shouting Jai Shri Ram slogans when the top police officials were holding a meeting with the representatives of both the groups at New Osmanpur police station. Locals called 100 and informed the police. However, the hooligans fled before the police arrived. Investigations are on.

It must be noted that a controversy has erupted between both the communities with regard to a place of worship located at Berhampur street no 8.

The issue has become the talk of the town as the people of the majority community have written on the doors of their houses, ‘this house is on sale’. In connivance of some Hindi newspapers and channels they are trying to make believe that the said street is insecure for the Hindu society, hence they are forced to sell the houses.

However, people of minority community told that there is no truth in the allegation. Some people are inciting people of the majority community. They claimed that there’re only a few houses of Muslims while the remaining houses are of Hindus.
