Delhi: Complaint filed against seven AAP members for misbehaving

New Delhi: BJP councilors have lodged a complaint with the Police against AAP councilors for allegedly misbehaving with women civic officials during the house meeting.

Earlier mayor Kamaljeet Sehrawat have reportedly suspended seven AAP councilors for 15 days after they have created a ruckus during the meeting.

Sehrawat responding to the ruckus created said, “We have filed a complaint against AAP councilors for misbehaving with women civic officials and BJP councilors. Police will submit a report and accordingly we will take action.”

A complaint has been filed by the Police against seven AAP members – Prakash Jarwal, Jarnail Singh, Dinesh, Narender, Ramesh Matiala, Prem Chauhan and Krishnawati, TOI reported.

Shikha Rai has also written to Delhi CM informing him about the Wednesday incident that took place at the house meeting. Rai said, “CM should take action against the councilors. We will meet the LG regarding the same soon.”

Meanwhile, AAP councilors have also alleged the BJP councilors have attacked their party Dalit woman councilor Krishnawati leaving her seriously injured in the house meeting. AAP councilors have also registered a complaint with the Police on Thursday.

Dilip Pandey AAP member said, “AAP is exposing the corruption of BJP inside the house which has rattled them and in reaction to this the BJP councilors resorted to violence.”

While injured Krishnawati said, “My arm got fractured on Wednesday when BJP women councilors thrashed me inside the house.”

However, House leader Rai is skeptical about Krishnamurti’s claims. She said, “The plaster was smaller last night, today it is looking like a full arm plaster,” said Rai.

“Police might have been pressured to get the complaint delivered at Mayor’s residence during midnight as well. If this is true the matter should be taken seriously,” Rai added.
