New Delhi: Despite strict instructions by the Supreme Court, mob lynching incidents continue to occur in the country. A 16-year-old Muslim boy was brutally beaten to death in Mukundpur. Instead of taking stringent action against the perpetrators, the police is trying to conceal the facts. To save the attackers, police has registered a case under section 304 instead of 302.
Former Chairman of National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Justice Sohail Aijaz Siddiqui, advocate Supreme Court Z K Faizan, former BSP MP Mohammed Salam Ansari and President Jamiat Ulam-i-Hind Maulana Arshad Madani have condemned the incident.
Justice Siddiqui said whether it is theft or any other matter no person has a right to take the law into his hand. He said instead of taking strict action, the police is trying to save the culprits. He said the matter is of mob violence but Delhi police are trying to give it a different angle.
Advocate Z K Faizan said section 304 deals with unintentional murder whereas the mob attacks are done in a planned manner, so they should be booked under section 302.
