Delhi: Teenager found dead in her home with her throat slit

New Delhi: A 15-year-old girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances with her throat slit in her house in west Delhi’s Khyala on Monday night.

According to the girl’s family members, the girl’s younger brother was also present in the house at the time of the incident, TOI reports.

According to reports, the victim’s father was at his shop around 8.30pm with his wife and elder daughter when his son came running to him, informing him about the incident.

It was when the family rushed to check they found the victim in a pool of blood lying dead with her throat slit in her room.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead.

A case under sections of murder has been registered, said DCP (west) Monika Bhardwaj.

Now the police have set-up, multiple teams, to solve the case while a forensic team inspected the crime scene to collect any traces of evidence left by the criminal.

While a team of officials are speaking to the girl’s brother to ascertain the exact sequence of events.

The police said the boy was in a different room and did not hear anything. He only learned about the incident when his sister didn’t respond to his calls.

While the probe is on in the case, an autopsy report is awaited.

The investigating teams are looking into the robbery angle, personal enmity angle etc.
