Denied ticket, TRS leader Shobha joins BJP

Hyderabad: TRS leader and Choppadandi former MLA B Shobha today joined the BJP in the presence of the State party president K Laxman. Former MLA Balu Nayak also left the ruling party and joined saffron party.

Speaking on the occasion, Laxman said Shobha joining our party reflects injustice to her. Mahakutami is an unholy alliance, he said, adding that the candidates, whoever get elected from the Congress and TDP would join the TRS later. Shobha alleged that she did not get TRS ticket due to Raviander Rao and Santosh Kumar, who are relatives of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. She bemoaned that she was denied ticket because she belongs to Madiga community.

Shobha said people will take a decision to teach a lesson to the TRS for injustice meted out to her. Criticizing KCR for not providing 33 per cent reservation to women in Parliament, Shobha said Kavith, daughter of KCR alone was representing in Parliament.

Laxman welcomed Shobha and her supporters by putting saffron shawls. Former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya and Kishan Reddy were also present.
