DEO holds review meeting with CP, observers, officials

Hyderabad: Dana Kishore, DEO & Commissioner, GHMC said that last final neck of the elections and critical phase is on hands and one has to work with moral responsibility and as per the instructions received from Chief Election Commissioner yesterday after the meeting that seven notes have to be properly taken i.e., Free, Fair, Peaceful, inclusive, ethical, accessible and participation elections.

If all these are taken proper care, all teams deployed must work hard with lot of patience and impartiality and the main aim is to conduct peaceful elections. Campaign is a very important one which has to be taken in a serious manner duly following the prescribed rules of the ECI especially with regard to Model Code of Conduct.

The DEO, CP Hyderabad, 8 General Observers including all the senior officials held a review meeting with the flying squads, static surveillance and other teams deployed for model code of conduct and the duties to be performed by them during the last phase of elections, today at GHMC Head Office. The DEO said in the last elections after nominations and withdrawals, only Rs. 20 lakhs cash has been seized, whereas this year Rs. 20 crores has been seized which is a very huge amount. So far the work done is one part, the coming days work is very important to take up as per the guidelines of the ECI. All the flying squads, surveillance and other teams deployed must work in three shifts and every complaint etc., has to be attended by looking the footage whether it is true or false and must be disposed off immediately.

The DEO said that every road show has to be recorded for clear transparency and one Magistrate is also provided for proper coordination to sort out the problems at once. Municipal, Revenue, Police, Excise officials have been deployed for better coordination.

Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, said that 12 to 14 days are left and this is the period of climax, when one should work more effectively. All the arrangements from the Police side have been done in a systematic manner and the same tempo will continue in the last phase also. The CP said that all the hard work done by all are giving good results and the next two weeks is still crucial, where everyone need to work very hard and see that our target is achieved– that is peaceful and fair poll. Commissioner of Police said that 130 patrol vehicles are there with branded police stickers and the patrol vehicle is like a movable police station with all the powers, facilities of the police station is all available in the patrol vehicle. The CP said that around 2,48,000 CC TV Cameras are there in the city area and around 2800 wireless sets in addition 800 sets have also been provided and the Police Department is fully equipped for the conduct of mega Yagnam

Election General Observers Sanjay, Ranjan, Dr. Hari Om, Ms. Menon, Satish, Income Tax Nodal Officer and other observers have also interacted with the officials and given some of the suggestions. Anthony Vijaya Kum, Police Observer has explained in detail about the works to be taken care by the teams and explain the IPC sections for clear transparency while disposing the issues on priority. Chavan, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Law & Order also interacted with the officials and instructed to be very kind and work peacefully without any type of tensions and further directed to kindly share the problematic issues with the higher ups for solving them on priority.

Earlier the DEO and CP Hyderabad visited Amberpet and Yakutpura Assembly Constituencies , interacted with the flying squad, surveillance team and had detailed discussions with the ROs and other officials with regard to arrangements which are being made for ensuing elections.
